I Just Wana Eat

Enjoy Food. Enjoy Life.

Kelly & I drove all the way from Damansara Heights to Taman Bukit Mayang for lunch last week. This restaurant is just next to the ever popular, Wong Poh, famous for its claypot butter crab. All this while, I did not notice this restaurant, as it is being 'overshadowed'.

Was informed by the boss that the crowd to this restaurants are usually their regulars, and on that particular day, only 2 tables were occupied.

Its popular dish ought to be the Super Crab porridge as it is being printed on their name card. We have however ordered the fish slice and frog porridge. This porridge taste really good - both the fish slice and frog meat was really fresh. The porridge is so watery, and you don't feel like you have had a few bowls.

I really enjoyed the fried mee-hoon. Very fragrant, and its not too dry.

While eating half way, decided to top up our order with the Superior Beancurd. They use Japanese beancurd, which is being sliced open and filled with crab meat, mushroom and minced pork. The gravy is nice too, and should go very well with rice.

Superior Beancurd. Price-RM12

Frog porridge! I've only had frog once a long long time ago. It tasted like chicken... no wait, fish... no chicken. Like if a chicken mated with a fish. ;p

Is the porridge like a teochew style porridge?

  2. HI Ru,
Chicken mated with fish.. i like that.. LOL.

The texture of the porridge is like the teochew style porridge. Its not too soft yet - can still feel the 'hardness' of the rice.
