Met up with Dina for dinner at Hanazen. I came here for dinner when they first open for business. Though they are still as popular, as they were quick packed, and the food is still good, I somehow felt that the food here has been 'down-sized'. For the amount that they are charging, I don't think it's quite worth it. Will still eat here should I crave for Japanese food while at Jaya One.
Had the Sushi and Grilled fish set, and opted for Saba with teriyaki sauce. Overall taste standard.
The half grill salmon with crispy chips topped with bonita flakes and flying fish roe taste good, but the size is really mini. ;-(

Hi there. Do you know whether Hanazen is halal? Thanks!
Dear Ainul,
Yes - it is a halal restaurant... was told they have a halal logo..
Also, a group of my Malay friends has dine there before as well..
;-)
Hi guys, there’s a deal of 40% off currently going on bigdeal.com.my for Hanazen. the best part is multiple coupons per bill allowed. Hurry, the deal is gonna close soon.
How can it have a halal logo when it serve alcohol.
You have to look for restaurant with Halal certificate. If its just a logo (especially when it is selling alcohol in there), it fall under syubhah, which is better to avoid. There's a lot more places to go :)
