Few Saturdays ago, had lunch with Ong at Enak in Starhill, as I need to utilize this voucher that I received a while back.
This must be the most expensive Malay food I've tried. Not wanting to fork up so much additional for the meal, need to do some calculation before begin ordering, and ended up trying these few dishes. Though its meant to be the true Malay cuisine, but still think it way overpriced.
Ordered the Soto Madura. Don't think it tasted that good, nor it is bad.
White Rice.Price-RM5
The fried chicken is simple marinade of turmeric with lemongrass and julienne of galangal. Not sure what's that. Of all the dishes I ordered, like the fried chicken the best.
Botok-botok sounded special, so decided to order this. Its sea mackerel wrapped in aromatic ground spices and 9 types of herbal leaves including papaya, laksa leaf and cassova shoots. This combination is being steamed. Overall, it tasted a little like otak-otak. For the price it's charged, I think steam fish ala Chinese style will be much more worth it.
Botok-botok. Price-RM34
Ordered 2 glasses of iced coffee, thought since the meal is almost free, don't mind paying for the drinks le.
