I Just Wana Eat

Since Cubes opened in Jaya One, I've been here, almost 6x. Sounds like way too many times. I like it here, as this is not like the typical looking Chinese restaurant. The dishes on their menu is rather unique, seems like its the chef's special creation. They also add new item on the menu from time to time. The food is of high quality, but somehow there aren't many customers each time I'm here. Hope its just a matter of time.

The lady at the restaurant 'hard-sell' a few dishes, and this are some of the dishes that we decided to 'buy' her recommendation that night. the special . We really like this rice cake stir fried with XO sauce - the XO sauce combined with dried chilli, squid and prawn - yummy.

This is a very 'song hau' ie. nice to munch starter - abalone mushroom with salted egg yolk. Crispy and really fragrant.

We ordered a plate of vege - stir fried lotus root, pumpkin, pea and cloves of garlic. I love to eat lotus root when it is stir-fried, but the taste the over night was so so only - a little too light on 'taste'.
